Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about booking, delivery, vehicles and hire conditions.
How do I get a quote?
Call with your hire dates, delivery postcode, vehicle requirements and driver details. We will check the available options and explain the price and conditions before you decide.
Is delivery and collection free?
Free delivery and collection are available for eligible UK mainland home or workplace addresses. We confirm the postcode, access, timing and vehicle when you book. Airports, stations, ports, islands and other non-standard locations need a separate check; additional charges can apply.
Is mileage unlimited?
Unlimited mileage is available subject to current fair-use terms. High-mileage work and courier or delivery-service use need separate arrangements; excess-mile charges can apply.
Can I arrange a one-way hire?
Selected vehicles may be available for one-way UK mainland hire. We confirm both postcodes, the vehicle, route and any charge before booking. European and island one-way journeys are not included.
What driver details do you need?
We check the licence entitlement and history of every named driver, age, experience and intended use. General car, van and truck policies normally cover ages 23–70 with at least two years’ driving experience, subject to approval. Minibuses and heavier vehicles have additional requirements.
Is insurance included?
Insurance is normally included for eligible named drivers on vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. Excesses and exclusions apply, including goods in transit, overhead-height, tyre, windscreen and flood damage. Heavier trucks require suitable customer insurance. Confirm the cover for your hire before booking.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit and refund conditions depend on the vehicle, area, driver and intended use. We confirm the amount and conditions before the vehicle is supplied.
Can I hire for a longer period?
Tell us the vehicle group and the dates you need. We can discuss a longer hire and quote the rate and conditions for that booking.
What happens if the vehicle breaks down?
Assistance arrangements depend on the vehicle and hire. We confirm the support and contact instructions before the vehicle is supplied. If a problem occurs, follow the assistance instructions in your hire documents.
Can I travel in Europe?
European travel requires prior permission and checks on countries, insurance, breakdown cover, documents and charges. The vehicle must return to the UK.
